Overwatch fans got a pair of nifty updates overnight. First, a new behind-the-scenes video was released about the upcoming Junkertown map. Junkertown takes place Down Under and begins on Roadhog's farm, wending its way to the Scrapyard. According to devs, Overwatch lore about Omnics and the Australian government as you explore the map. Junkertown is expected to be released on September 19th.
In other Overwatch news, the upcoming professional eSports League has expanded yet again, this time with franchises coming to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Comcast Spectacor) and Houston, Texas (OpTic Gaming). This brings the total number of professional teams to 13, each ponying up $20M for the opportunity to take eSports to the next level.
According to ESPN, talks are still underway with Wesley Edens, co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, in order to bring a team to Chicago, though the final location can still be changed.
The Overwatch League is on target to launch its first games beginning in late 2017, with the season debut taking place at the newly announced eSports arena in California.
